Scarlett Johansson To Get $20M For "Avengers" Sequel

The New York Post reports the actress will get a significant bump in pay to reprise her role as Black Widow. The payday will make her the highest paid actress in Hollywood.

According to the New York Post, her salary puts her ahead of Angelina Jolie who was paid $19 million for The Tourist, which flopped domestically.

The $20 million club is a elite group of actresses. Only four have done it before ScarJo:

1. Julia Roberts: Erin Brockovich (2000)
2. Cameron Diaz: Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003)
3. Angelina Jolie: Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005)
4. Reese Witherspoon: Penelope (2006)

To put her payday in perspective, Forbes ranked Kristen Stewart as the highest paid actress in Hollywood. She earned $34.5 million for her roles in Snow White and the Huntsmen and the Twilight series. Though, Stewart only pulled $12.5 million per film - just a little over half of ScarJo's new salary.

The salary is a huge bump for the actress who reportedly only earned $4-6 million in the original Avengers film. Compare that to the rest of the cast:

Robert Downey Jr.: $50 million (including upfront salary and box office gross)
Samuel L. Jackson and ScarJo: $4-6 million
Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo: $2-3 million
